Will I Meet my Loved ones in the Afterlife?
From DiscoverPsychic
There is no simple yes or no answer to this question. The answer will always be a personal one that deeply depends on what you personally believe to be the truth in the after life. Where your faith lies will be a dictator of sorts as to whether or not you'll meet your loved ones in the after life. Most faiths require good deeds to get to heaven and each religion has a different set of “good deed rules” one must follow in order to attain heaven. Other religions say without faith in a certain person that heaven is unapproachable. For the “good deed” faiths there are usually levels of heaven and hell where a person can work their way up the ladder through the different levels until they reach the pinnacle.
Therefore, if your loved ones believe what you believe or have accomplished the amount of good deeds your religion tells you are necessary to reach heaven, then your personal answer to this question is going to be yes. However, if you know for sure that your loved ones are not on the same level as what you believe in, you may answer no and be sad because you truly believe you will not meet them in the after life.

[edit] Christianity
This religion states that you must have faith in Christ and have asked Him into your heart and for the forgiveness of your sins, wrong doings against God, before you have the ability to enter heaven in the afterlife. There is a heaven and a hell and once there, a person is incapable of changing their eternal place in the after life.
[edit] Catholicism
This is the same basic belief as Christianity except that there are levels of heaven and hell. Also good deeds are extremely important in determining which level of heaven and hell a person will go to when they die.
[edit] Islam
In general, the same idea of levels of heaven and hell as Catholicism except that no faith in Christ is expected, just good deeds that are pleasing to Allah. There is a period where the souls of dead people rest in their graves until the Day of Judgment when their eternal destination will be revealed to them.
[edit] Buddhism
There is no heaven or hell. Most Buddhists believe in Nirvana, a peaceful place of rest. However, Nirvana is only achieved when the soul has learned all it should through reincarnation and karma has been completed.
[edit] Atheism
There is no belief in heaven or hell. There is no belief in a God or higher power. Therefore, there is nothing when you die ... there is no after life to speak of.
[edit] Judaism
Most people who are Jewish believe that when someone dies, hell is where most people will go in the after life. Achieving heaven is based on an almost perfect life filled with good deeds based on what God's Law is.
Most people would say they know nothing about after life events or truths and, therefore, remain unsure about whether or not loved ones will be seen at that time.
