What is the Life Line?

The life line is a crease in the palm used by palm readers during a palm-reading to decipher the vitality and length of the person's life. This line is the most important line a reader looks for during a reading as it is somewhat of a focal point in a person's life and an easy way of mapping out the rest of the palm. The life line usually begins between the pointer finger and the thumb on the side of the palm. From there it wraps down in a curve and travels near the thumb's bottom, though some life lines do vary in their appearance and curvature.

Palm readers claim to be able to tell a person about future events in their life by simply looking at that person's life line on their palm. Unlike most lines on a person's palm, the life line is divided up into three parts that are supposed to tell the person, during a palm-reading, when the said events will happen. These are general times of a person's life: youth, adulthood and old age.

Long and deep

This type of line is usually associated by palm readers as pertaining to long life, health and vitality throughout that person's life.

Short, deep and strong

People who carry this life line in the palm of their hand are said to be able to overcome, miraculously at times, health problems throughout their lives. During a palm-reading they are also told that their life holds great vitality.

Short and shallow

Some people believe that a short life line means you will not live that long, but that is not the case. This kind of life line usually means that person is easily controlled by others throughout their entire life. They will do anything anyone tells them to do, to a certain extent usually. These are the kind of people who may allow others to walk all over them and can be very shy or overly sensitive.

Semi circle curve

People with this life line are most likely busy improving their love life. They may come across as incredibly confident and have a certain zeal for life. They may exude strength and be very enthusiastic about life itself.

Straight line down

During a palm-reading if a line like this is found on a person's palm then the person receiving the reading is most likely to be told about a cautious nature they already know about or are in denial of. Of course, this statement is somewhat of a blanket statement and could mean a number of things from someone who tends to be very conservative to those who are phobic and fear many things including disease and uncleanliness.

Every person is unique and people do change. It is interesting to hear what a reader may tell you while looking at your palm, but there are things about yourself that will most likely be missed. It is not uncommon for some readers to keep things on a general scale in order to prove they are right in what they are saying, but some have found a reader or two who is extremely genuine and made statements about that person that no one else knew about.
