Thanksgiving 2009 update

Today: T-day minus one, and counting. This is no ordinary Wednesday. Other than the obvious insane rush for tomorrow that all of America is engaged in, there is some serious energy that is happenin' I would like everyone to be aware of, and be careful.

First a quickie summation in nerdy astrological terms, and then a translation into English:

Tonight: ♏☽♅ ∆ ♀♓--This will blow into tomorrow as well.

Okay, what this means--to **you**:

Thanksgiving happens during Sagittarius. Translation: EXCESS. Sag is ruled by Jupiter, sign of Zeus known for boinking everything that moved (and some things that didn't! But that is creepy, so we will move on). The fact that people overeat, drink, and fight on T-Day is no accident.

Currently Venus is in Scorpio for a few weeks. Socially times are ripe for secrets, affairs, close bondings, hexing, and loyalty oaths. This energy is all around us and it affects everyone and everything that is on the planet. If you are currently on the moon, this does not apply to you. The rest of us have a shadow blanket (like an evil Snuggie) enveloping us that encourages, seduces, calls to us to "get a little closer" (makes stabbing easier), as Scorpio is both sexual and violent (ruled by Ares, who is perpetually angry). Consider this a "backdrop," like the weather at your picnic. You can have a picnic in the rain, but it will rain whether YOU have a picnic or not.

Okay, so today the moon is in Pisces, and tonight she will slam into Uranus (who is lallygagging in Pisces for the next--oh--million years). Moon in Pisces=expansion of SUBconsciousness (drug use, hallucinogens, dreams, visions, excess of alcohol). But when she is cozying up to the (outer) planet of chaos and freakish activity, this leads to drug overdoses, overintoxication, drunk drivers, and on the positive side, breakthroughs in meditation, new worlds of consciousness, ULTRA-powerful necromancy, hexing, divination, tantric-level love spells, and an all around great time to brainstorm.

This 1-2-3 combination (Venus, Moon, Uranus) tonight is a recipe for great spell work, lots of close bonding time with those who mean the most to you (or those you WANT TO mean the most to you), and a super-magical time to work with oils or waters, sweet or stagnant. But please avoid the idiots at the mall! If you can get your shopping done BEFORE the sun goes down, please do so, and wear your damned seatbelt. Let someone else fulfill the karmic balance that is being demanded right now.

Sorry to be such a Chicken Little, but I rrrrrreally don't want to be here on Monday saying "I told you so." Tonight and tomorrow can be LOADS of fun, but they are also ripe with possibilities of "Oops!" factor. So please avoid crowds. By the way, moon will safely be in combative (and impatient) Aries in time for "Black Friday" (hmmm.. Aries and Black, who'd have thought?) so shopping over the weekend will be as violent and pissy as you would expect it to be. I predict a riot (I need a jar to capture that energy!)

Tonight is a time of revelations & discoveries. Spend time alone researching & "dreaming." You will be surprised what you find out.
