There are beliefs and beliefs and sometimes certain things that we read, experience or learn can change the meaning of your whole life. For example, talking to the dead is something that is good news to some, horrifying concept to some and research material to others. The first question that comes to your mind when you think of ways to talk to the dead is who could do it? This question brings to the mind one of the most intriguing mysteries of the millennium, zombies.

Zombies exist. Period. This is a fact that has been recorded by scientists over many decades. However, no one was able to understand how it is done. From bits and pieces that transpired in between the research studies and word-of-mouth stories, it seems that zombies are dead people brought back to life by voodoo (a terrible and very powerful black magic type practice) for labor purposes.

It is believed that zombies do not eat, do not ask for money and do not need rest. The voodoo practitioner knows how to talk to dead people and controls these undead effortlessly. However, if these zombies eat salt it is said that the spell that held their bodies captive would be broken and they would fall down lifelessly the same instant.

Not all the methods of reaching out to the dead people are as bizarre as with the zombies. The most accepted way to communicate with the dead is through a medium. A medium is a person who is able to channel the departed soul through their own body or call them close enough to establish communication with them. This is usually done at the request of a heart broken, grieving person in the wake of the death of someone dear.

Ouija Board and other such mystic boards also have the ability of "calling" spirits or ghosts. However, it is important to mention here that this could be a dangerous pastime in the hands of the inexperienced because unless you know the exact protocol of how to talk to the dead, you would either end up calling malevolent powers or trap the soul or spirit you called on the earthly plane, making them desperate and destructive.

Dreams are an extremely powerful medium when the mind and heart are full. It has been observed that dreams often act as a communication channel when the person left behind grieves too sorely. Such dreams form a very potent method of how to talk to the dead, though science does not acknowledge it to be so. The dead often are found to establish contact with their dear ones either asking not to grieve or to describe their after death experience, which though hard to believe, has been recorded as true stories.

As said earlier, there are many ways to talk to the dead and this depends on the budget, the circumstances of the death and the medium chosen. The fact remains that since it is possible to talk with the dead, this proves that there is life (in another form) after death.
