The soulmate definition is perhaps the most confused concept in the genre of astrology and occultism ever. Many feel that a love soulmate is that person who perfectly matches you in mind, body and soul. In other words, he or she would be exactly what you ever wanted from a partner, nothing more, and nothing else. Just perfection embodied, according to your liking. It is also believed that such a soulmate would feel your presence and attraction as you would feel theirs and in no time, there would be an altogether new life for you because you have started believing.

Yes, it is true that many think and feel that there is a soulmate waiting for you. Each one of us, whether human or animal, has this soulmate out there somewhere ready to be discovered. It is a well-known fact that some animals mate for life; if one of the couple dies, the other never pairs again for life. Sometimes, they pine so deeply for the departed mate that they die, too shortly after.

The first thing you need to know that popular soulmate definition is by far wrong and misleading. The soulmate is not one that matches your thoughts, behavior or physique like a glove, but one who complements you to perfection. Another myth that needs to be dispelled before you go on the lookout for your soulmate is that you would definitely find your soulmate and marry him or her. Unfortunately, it does not happen that way. It is very much possible that the person, whom you find so magnetic, makes you laugh, is attentive to your every sigh or signs of distress, is still preoccupied about something else and does not see you. No issues here; if such a thing happens, be bold and pick up a conversation with one or two persons and make a few jokes at yourself. Gradually, work in until you have enough space with the boys.

Another huge myth is that when you find this ultimate love soulmate he or she would be instantly recognizable and identifiable and you would be able to meet, fall in love and live happily ever after. The truth is that the soulmate connection would not be so subtle that you could guess it at the first glance. In fact, sometimes you could be married with your soulmate, but get the revelation only years after you married him or her. This is because (1) not everybody is destined to find their soulmates in this life and (2) even if they do, the perfect matching in body, mind and soul happens gradually and with quite some resistance initially so it would not be obvious.

A word of advice here: while it is true that the regular soulmate definition is not very accurate, the concept exists and it often happens that you would know and even be married to this soulmate and not know it. The journey to discovering the qualities of your soulmate and the fact that you match perfectly to him or her is exceptional and ordinary at the same time. Exceptional, because when you do realize everything looks so clear to you; ordinary because the discovery would come through the regular bickering, nagging, quarrels, and arguments a regular couple has. So, look closer today at your spouse or live-in girlfriend or boy friend; you might be surprised at what you see with your new eyes.
