The theory of reincarnation and past lives has become quite popular to many people in the world. Some of these people believe in it due to religious faith. Others just have open minds to the many documented cases that have been proven to be genuine. Still, there is another group of believers who just fear death and want to know that dying is not final.

Most people who have chosen to delve into the possibility of past lives have chosen to use the method of hypnosis. A session of this sort is usually conducted by a professionally trained and licensed hypnotist. The subject is put into a trance like state by the hypnotist, who will then begin to ask a series of questions designed to gradually take the subject back in time. This regression goes all the way back to time spent inside their mother’s womb and beyond. It is at this point that things seem to get interesting.

Having been taken back to before the time of their birth, the subjects may then begin speaking of another life. Their language and dialect may be totally different, as well as their names, residences, and many other things. When the details are significantly changed, it is thought to be proof that the subject has, indeed, lived before this life.

Perhaps the most famous case of reincarnation is that of Virginia Tighe, a housewife in the United States. She was hypnotized by Morey Bernstein, who was an amateur rather than a professional hypnotist. While in a trance, Mrs. Tighe described another life. In this life, she was named Bridey Murphy. Her story starts when she was 8 years and lived with her parents in Cork, Ireland. Later, when she was 17, she married and moved with her new husband to Belfast.

Mrs. Tighe recounted many details of this life in an authentic Irish accent even though she had never been to Ireland. Her story was the subject of Bernstein’s book that quickly became a best seller. Unfortunately, the facts of this case were not checked before the publication of the book. Once the case was thoroughly investigated, it was found that, while Mrs. Tighe did give quite a few accurate details of this past life, there were many more inaccurate ones. It is believed that she was exposed to a hypnotic suggestion of sorts and this was what brought forth this amazing account. Even so, the account of Bridey Murphy’s previous life still ranks as one of the top cases of reincarnation proof.

That is a decision only you can make. However, if you should happen to have lots of déjà vu experiences, as well as seeming to know about certain people or places for no reason that makes any sense, you might want to look into it. Your past soul could be trying to reach into your present one for some reason or other. This is something that may be noticed through irrational phobias. These are often found to be due to past ways of dying. Sometimes going into the past hypnotically can answer a lot of questions you may have about the present.
