Hauntings on Baseball Turf

I teach a class called "How to Become a Professional Psychic and Earn Extra Income" through Meet-up.com. We meet every Monday evening at Brasserie Julien 1422 tird Ave near 80th St in Manhattan at 7:30pm and class runs til 9pm.     A good book for you to read on the subject of ghosts is "Haunted Baseball" by Mickey Bradley and Dan Gordon published in 2007 by Lyons Press.  You can also log onto the MBL website for October 2008 and see an article on ghosts I wrote for the Major League Baseball fans as well.

   An example of a place you can investigate which has been verified by ghost busters as the real deal haunting site is Tasco, a building in St.Peterburg, Florida which used to be a baseball clubhouse. The Devil Rays gifted their ball park to the city and oops!!! some strange happenings started going on!

    Doors close for no reason and lights flicker even though they pass all eletrical inspections.  Bob Valenti, a supervisor for Tasco said he was in the shower at work one night when he nearly lost his life! The light in the shower is spring-loaded and one night the light let loose and was swinging about eight inches above his head. He jumped out of the shower fearing electrocution!

    Workers in the building reported seeing a man on the field who was the spitting image of Casey Stengel and when they approached him he literally disappeared into thin air.  

   One of Valent's co-workers said he and a crew were in the building late one night doing paperwork.  The lights kept coming off and on and his men felt so jittery they left with the work undone and went home feeling shaky.  Another night they set the alarm and in the morning the alarm was turned off. They heard someone in the building but could fine no one there. 

   A professional ghost buster was employed who detected voices on tape, temperature changes in the space and the unmistakable smell fo cigar smoke traveling thoughout the building. People said they thought it was the ghost of Miller Huggins because he smoked cigars. 

    Apparently the ghosties want their clubhouse back the way it used to be.
