[edit] Learn Feng shui for your garden
Feng shui is not limited to just your home, or indoor spaces. Feng shui is about optimizing the amount of positive energy โ or Qi โ that is in your home, and the spaces that you live, work, rest and play in. This also includes your garden. There are all kinds of rules to feng shui landscape that are believed to improve the energy in your back yard or garden. If you learn feng shui, you can, according to the people who practice this ancient tradition, improve all aspects of your life, particularly your health, wealth, happiness and relationships.
[edit] The entrance to your home must be pleasant and welcoming
Your feng shui landscape begins right at the entrance to your home, or the entrance to the land that surrounds your home. It is important that this entrance is as pleasant as possible. This is the first area that anyone sees as they enter your residence, and as such, should give everyone a feeling of being welcome. As commonly seen in oriental themed buildings, having two dogs or two lions on both sides of your front door means that your home is open to guests, but at the same time it is protected from unwanted entities.
[edit] Your outdoor environment should be beautiful
Most people put more effort into making the interiors of their homes beautiful, and often the exterior, and the lawns and yard is neglected. This will cause some sort of imbalance within your home. This can result in negative energy. Your garden is your own personal connection to the outside world, and if you are not happy with how this space looks, then you are not happy with your connection to the outside world โ i.e. your friends, the community around you, your workplace, and any other area you spend time in. If you learn feng shui, and use the knowledge you have acquired to enhance your garden area, your inner feelings will be improved. Flowers blooming in your own personal space is said to awaken your soul.
[edit] A flat garden is not the best Feng shui landscape
When it comes to feng shui, having a garden that is uneven or raised over several levels is much better than having a flat landscape. If your land is too flat, then the positive energy is going to move too fast over the area, and the area will not be harmonized. If the ground is naturally flat and you cannot alter this, then you can improve the layout by creating raised flower beds, and planting trees and shrubberies of different heights.
[edit] Bright colors and lights can improve your garden
If you have dark spots in your garden, these could be responsible for disrupting the harmony that the rest of the garden brings. Dark spots are negative and attract clutter to your life. Brighten these areas with bright and bold flowers, or white coloured ornaments, statues, rocks or a bench. You could also install lights that will shed more brightness onto these dark areas.
