[edit] How do we define soul mate?
A soul mate is someone with whom you are intrinsically connected. You feel like this person is very important to you, and feel an incredible sense of love for them, much deeper than in the romantic sense of the word. Your soul mate can be anyone, and hopefully you have been lucky enough to meet him or her. Some people believe that everyone does have a soul mate out there in the world, but not everyone gets the chance to meet theirs.
We define soul mate by a deep and spiritual connection between two individuals. We can also define soul mate by the concept of the ‘twin flame’ – two souls that together make two halves of a whole unity.
[edit] Famous celebrity soul mate
In the busy world of the celebrity, news of several couples of soul mates has made news headlines. Celebrities are often not lucky enough to find their celebrity soul mate – there is forever news and gossip detailing separations and divorces after short lived Hollywood relationships. However, alongside these rocky and tragic relationships are pairs of fortunate famous people who have been lucky enough to find their celebrity soul mate.
[edit] Kate Winslet and Sam Mendes
British born actress Kate Winslet met her husband Sam Mendes, British film and stage director, in 2001. In May 2003, the couple were married. Together they have a son, who was born in December 2003. The two are very obviously deep in love, and even with the pressure of the media spotlight, their bond shines through. In pictures, their smiles beam and their faces share a resemblance of each other. The Titanic star and director of American Beauty are described as soul mates by anyone who knows them.
[edit] John Lennon and Yoko Ono
It has been reported that the very first time they met, these two knew that they were destined to be together. In interviews in the past years, Yoko Ono has described how she first met John Lennon in an art gallery, and as soon as she saw him, she knew instantly that the pair of them was meant to be together.
[edit] Courtney Cox and David Arquette
These two actors met on the set of Wes Craven’s slasher hit Scream, and the pair has been inseparable since. They have also worked together on the set of Courtney’s record breaking TV series Friends, where she played anal retentive character Monica Geller. Courtney and David were married in 1999, and today are still going strong.
[edit] Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones
Despite a huge age gap of 25 years, these two are still made for each other. Soul mates are not defined by age, and the age of a person has no bearing on who their soul mate will be. The two famous actors Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones were married in 2000, a year after meeting. These two souls are so intrinsically entwined that they even share the same birthday – which is the 25th of September.
They are definately not soulmates.
