Edgar Cayce (March 18, 1877 - January 3, 1945) was a self proclaim Prophet or seer, in which even today his predictions cause controversy. These debates continue by skeptics and believers alike with a range of quite different views being expressed in printed literature as to whether Edgar Cayce predictions are true and forthcoming. Any written book on the Edgar Cayce prophecies becomes an immediate bestseller. Was he a well-intentioned spiritual leader, with actual psychic powers or a fraud?

Being a God-fearing man, it is ironic that there are similarities to those prophecies in the Bible somewhat match his. He gave readings originally to those seeking help with the physical health of the individual. Upon entering into a trance he would advise the recipient of what was the best method for them and suggest alternative ways to maintain good health.

With an out-of-body state of consciousness, Edgar Cayce predictions reveal profound information on various subjects, as he called it maintaining the Body, Mind, and Spirit. Later on his readings advanced to dream interpretation, past lives and spiritual health and what many became interested in; the future.

No one can argue that what has transpired in the 20th Century and the early part of the 21st has a resounding accord giving Edgar Cayce prophecies a viable following. In contrast to the mystical seer Nostradamus from the 16th Century, Edgar Cayce predictions have a tranquil end that goodness will be triumphant over evil rather than the dark situation that Nostradamus believed would occur. "There is progress, whether ye are going forward or backward! The thing is to move!" This quote clearly states the glass is half full.

The remarkably accurate predictions of the recent past have included:

• The great depression being predicted during the height of its bull run in 1924, five years prior to it occurring.
• Edgar Cayce predictions in 1932 included the rise and fall of Adolph Hitler with a great war throughout the world. Hence World War II.
• In 1939, Edgar stated that two presidents would die while in office. Franklin D. Roosevelt and John F. Kennedy fulfilled that prediction.
• Another of Edgar Cayce predictions that has come to light was India gaining its independence from Britain.
• The failure of communism and the collapse of the Soviet Union, which now is Russia and has reinstated the Eastern Orthodox Church.
