Clairaudience

Clairaudience comes from the French term clair (clear) and audient (hearing). Well known in the paranormal realm as a psychic gift, clairaudience is a particular type of clairvoyance. When a person develops clairaudience, the gifted person is able to tune in to sounds, voices and messages that are not able to be heard in the normal scope of hearing.

• Messages are from spirit guides. These may include warnings or anticipatory future events. These types of messages encompass those of spiritual growth and self awareness.
• Angelic messages are also heard. Angelic messages include those given by spirit guides, as well, and are usually used for self improvement or growth of one’s gifts.
• Messages may be heard from lost loved ones or those who have passed over. Mediums frequently get messages from the dead and pass these on to loved ones, or the person they are reading.
• Messages from earth bound spirits that have not crossed over. This occurs in areas where there are reported haunting and ghost like activity. The medium works to develop clairaudience in order to communicate with the earth bound spirits, in order to help the spirit find peace.

These types of messages frequently are heard when the gifted person is in a trance like or meditative state. Messages come during readings as the psychic tunes into the person’s energy that they are reading. They will receive messages from that person’s spirit guides, angels and loved ones, as well as the psychic’s own.

While in a trancelike state, the message is passed through the medium, and is stated during a session of automatic writing. The medium hears internal information that the spirit guides and angels wish to impart, and write the information down on paper while not consciously aware of what they are writing at the time.

They are frequently called in to places that are considered to be haunted. The psychic medium will travel to the area and will discern if earth bound spirits are present. If they find it is so, they will attempt to converse with the earth bound spirit in order to find out what is holding them here. They attempt to get the earth bound spirit to cross over, or leave the area that they are causing issues at. This can be a very effective tool if the spirit is causing problems in the household, or causing the inhabitants to be frightened.

Clairaudient mediums are frequently contacted by the police, FBI and families when there are missing person cases, or to help to get closure on cold cases. The medium will attempt to glean information from the spirit plane that is not readily available to the police or the family at that time. Psychics have been known to lead police to the location of bodies, or provide them with additional clues that they would not have had access to otherwise. This allows old cases to be closed, and for families to have closure in their time of grief.

In closing, the ability to develop clairaudience is very useful for those with clairvoyance, both the psychic and medium alike. It can be used in various ways in order to help both people and the authorities.
