Life and the way it unfolds is most amazing. Beattie Eadie was a regular person until she died at the age of 31 while undergoing a surgery. She died and was brought back to life during which time she had the most amazing experience. She had left her body and gone to the light where she met Jesus. The journey towards death, far from being scary and unpleasant was amazingly enriching, pleasant and comforting. The places she crossed to reach where Jesus was, were beautiful and the people welcoming and kind. Heaven is a wonderful destination and after seeing it, Beattie wanted everyone to know about it.

When Beattie died, she realized that Heaven is a place where love is everywhere. There is no want, no worry, no discomfort only peace, love and an eternal comforting light. Jesus had told Beattie that she should spread word about her experience to everybody, so people would know about Heaven. He also told her that it was important for people to love one another. In her words, Beattie had said that Jesus told her, "Above all else, love one another."

[edit] Who is Beattie Eadie?

Beattie was born the seventh among ten children to parents of Native American and Scots-Irish lineage. Her childhood was spent in rural Nebraska and Rosebud Indian Reservation in South Dakota. Her schooling was completed in a Catholic boarding school, where she went after her parents separated. She led a normal life, with normal ambitions, trials and joys when disaster struck. She had to be operated and during that surgery, she died. She was 31 years old at that time. She came back to life, but her life was never the same again.

Intrigued by what happened to her, she started looking to find out more about death and near death experiences of other people. Pursuing her thirst to learn the truth about the connection between body, spirit and mind she enrolled into the best post graduate schools of hypnosis, psychology and paranormal activities. Her deep interest in the subject made her the brightest student of her batch and she graduated at the top of her class, after which she started her own practice. She continued to search for answers.

[edit] Embraced by the Light by Beattie Eadie

In 1992 after about two decades from her near death experience, Beattie put her thoughts, the answers she found, her exceptional experience, and her dialogue with Jesus in a book called, 'Embraced by the Light'. The book was an instant hit and sold six million copies, sticking to the bestseller list for more than two years. The book brought comfort to many people who had lost their dear ones by reinforcing the belief that there is a Heaven where Jesus Himself welcomes you and that afterlife is more beautiful than words could describe. The success of this maiden venture encouraged Beattie to write more books and soon there were two more books written and published, 'The Awakening Heart', which was also a bestseller, and 'The Ripple Effect'.

Beatie and her husband Joe of 44 years live in Seattle. They believe in large families and therefore have eight children, 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
