Awakening Intuition

Every person is born with “intuition” or that sixth sense. They also have the ability to tune it in or block it out. Millionaires today will report if asked that they attribute being successful to having great “hunches” about situations or business sense, when in all reality they are using their intuition. However, it is very hard to get them to admit to it in those terms. A very common saying is to go with one’s gut which means to trust within themselves and their intuition. Things are always seen clearly when looking outside at other situations, but it has been reported by many in the psychic profession who are highly intuitive, that is very hard to trust themselves and believe in their own abilities as emotion takes over when it concerns one’s self. Therefore, having intuition is not the issue here instead, learning how to use it is key to “awakening” it in one’s self.

A question that is asked frequently is how does a person go about awakening their intuition? In all actuality, most people already use their intuition but do not realize that they are doing this. It is that little feeling that someone was not telling the truth or a person was not what they seemed. It’s that funny feeling a person gets in their stomach just before something traumatic or exciting happens in their life. It is one’s intuition giving out a signal, and it is up to the individual to tune in or listen and to learn from it as well.

Awakening intuition or tuning in is linked strongly to the mind-body connection. The more we are in tune with our mind, body and spirit, the better we will be able to achieve our goals and awaken our psychic gifts that include our intuition. A way to become more in tune with our minds and bodies is to learn how to quiet the mind and the body in order to be able to listen. In the hectic pace most live in today , it is very hard to listen to one’s mind and spirit when our minds are so full of the days problems,, tomorrow’s presentation or meeting, or worries that creep into one’s mind.

One way to slow down and relax is through deep breathing exercises. Start by slowing the breathing to bring the mind and body to a very slow pace. While doing the breathing exercises, starting at the toes, relaxing all the muscles one by one until the crown is reached. Then visualize the third eye chakra which is located on the forehead as opened and allowing incoming energy to enter the body. Ask for peaceful loving energy to enter the body and to slow the mind to a relaxed pace.

Sit quietly doing this for approximately 10 to 15 minutes. It is a very simple procedure and can be done by anyone. It is suggested that you find a quiet spot either with fresh plants around to provide extra oxygen for your body or the bath tub is a great place to just relax and work on your breathing. This also open’s one self up to any energy that you may need to process at that time. Done on a regular basis, it will definitely start the process of attuning ones mind and body to their intuition. This will also strengthen the mind body connection allowing more peace and balance in a person’s life.
