2008 Astrology Predictions
From DiscoverPsychic
With the direction the world is currently heading, many of us would love to know what's heading our way. Will gas prices ever go back down? Will the fighting in the Middle East ever stop, or at the very least slow down? Perhaps some of you are worried about the future of your love or social lives, as well. So when someone offers to predict your future, jump on it, right? The problem is, a lot of people still don't believe in the power of psychic abilities. A large portion of our society still considers it all to be "just a hoax". In the end, it's a personal decision that each person must make. Do you believe some can truly predict your future?
[edit] Why wouldn't some believe?
One of the reasons a lot of people still feel psychic ability is a hoax is due to the influx of "end of the world" predictions. A simple internet search will pull up thousands of various predictions about when the world will end. Many of them have even passed their "deadline". With so many variations, and so many incorrect "guesses", it isn't hard to draw the conclusion that "end of the world" predictions are exactly that; nothing more than guesses. These predictions are giving a bad reputation to the psychic community in general, it seems, as more and more people are using these false "predictions" to decide whether or not it's even possible to predict your future. What many people don't realize is that the doomsday "predictions" are simply theories, not psychic visions.
Unfortunately, society has condemned much of the population to disbelief. The internet provides a great deal of so-called psychic predictions, which have mostly proven to be false. From baby gender prediction to love meter predictions, people who are not truly psychic have falsified "abilities" in an attempt to capitalize on the fact that most of society wishes they could know the future. Those who do still believe in psychic ability, however, tend to see right through these false claims. Chances are if you are asked to answer multiple questions and provide your email address, there's a decent chance that you're about to be scammed.
[edit] How do you protect yourself?
It is imperative that you do your research before just handing over money to someone claiming to have psychic abilities. Ask around to friends and family. You probably know a few people who still believe someone can predict their future, but you may not even realize it. If it's something you'd rather keep quiet (for social reasons), then you should at least run a search on any company that you would consider contacting. Find out what others say about the service, and the accuracy. Online consumers are generally great about leaving feedback, in an effort to protect others from being scammed. Regardless of what service you go through, just remember; not everything you read from a "psychic" is true. If it were, the end of the world predictions would have already wiped us out!
